1How much do you cost?
Our charging is based on time and a price is quoted on the requirements of each individual journey. Our pricing is very competitive – please call us for a free no obligation quote!
2Can I get a price for my journey in advance?
Yes, we will quote based on your requirements with an agreed price upfront, so you know exactly how much your journey will cost.
3How do you compare to a regular taxi service?
Lift Companion Driving offers much more than the standard taxi ride. Our caring drivers offer a much more personalised service. We can assist you getting in and out of the car, walk you to your door and accompany you on appointments, shopping or outings. We offer a service totally tailored to your requirements and our aim is to put a lift in your day in every way! We are family when family can’t be there and pride ourselves on a professional, quality service.
4Can you provide assistance for appointments?
Absolutely! We are happy to accompany you to and from our vehicle to your appointment. We can also stay with you for the duration of your appointment, or return at a later pre-arranged time.
5Do you accept Total Mobility Vouchers?
We hope to in the future. We will however give you the same discount that you would have received with your card or voucher, so you won't lose out! Even without Total Mobility Vouchers, our rates are still very competitive, so please call us for a free, no obligation quote.
6Do you just cater for the elderly?
No, we cater to anyone who prefers a more personalised service.
7Can I make a regular transport booking?
Yes, we are happy to meet your requirements with a regular, pre-booked service.
8What is the maximum number of passengers you can transport?
Our vehicle can take a maximum of 4 passengers. We also have room in the boot for folding walkers and wheelchairs.
9Do you take group bookings?
Yes we do! We are able to take a maximum of 4 passengers and can tailor our service to your requirements. Eg. Day trips, social outings etc.
10Are you police checked?
Yes, our drivers are police checked and hold a passenger endorsed driver’s license.
11Do your drivers have first aid certificates?
Yes, our drivers hold a current full first aid certificate.
12Is your vehicle safe?
Yes absolutely! We use a Skoda Yeti Monte Carlo, which has a very high safety rating. Our vehicle is regularly serviced and has a Certificate of Fitness.
13Can you provide transport for children?
Yes we are happy to transport children, but you would have to provide their own car seat, as legally required. Please enquire for more information and to discuss your needs.
14What times are you available?
We are available between 8am – 6pm, but please contact us for bookings outside of these hours and we will do our best to accommodate you.
15Are you an ACC approved service provider?
Yes; please talk to your ACC Case Officer and request our services to cater for your needs, or give us a call for more information.
